Overview
Country data is utilized in two primary contexts across the Lawyered API:
- Party Registration (
rcCountry): The jurisdiction where an entity is registered or based. This is found within the standard Parties Schema. - Governing Law (
governingLaw): The legal jurisdiction whose laws govern the agreement.
Agreement-Specific Behaviors
While most country fields accept the full list of 195 countries, some agreements enforce priority ordering or strict subsets for the governingLaw field to improve the end-user experience.
